Every Ark home is built using a premium quality steel frame. No termites, no warping, no cyclone hassles - just an absolute weather proof home built tough to handle Australia's extreme and demanding conditions.

And a steel frame is just the start . . .

• Inside the walls and under the floors, we space our framing members (studs, joists and bearers) no more than 450mm apart - not 600mm apart like some builders.
• Two forms of insulation are installed as standard in the walls with double insulation also fitted to the ceilings.
• To eliminate vibrations in the home, we install 19mm Structaflor, an extra rigid flooring material designed to absorb vibration and provide added bracing. We could use 15mm plywood to cut costs like others do, but there's nothing worse than a springy floor, or a home that goes creak in the night (and day!).
• We use quality powder coated aluminium framed windows and doors, in a range of colours.
• You get to choose the cladding of your new Ark Home from a range of options impervious to the elements and designed to last a lifetime. Options include Ruff Sawn Weathertex, Colorbond Custom Orb, or mix and match.
• Our specialist Colour Consultant will work with you to individualise the finishes for your home, from the exact kitchen you want, with your choice of laminate and tiles for walls, benches and doors to the colour scheme and floor coverings.
• Bathrooms are fitted with a full size bath or shower, decorated with your choice of tiles. Double towel rails, mirror, glass and chrome soap holder, shower curtain and toilet roll holder are all standard.
• Tiles are grouted using a rubberised material that will not crack or fall out.
• Ark Homes are designed with Energy Efficiency in mind. All homes in our range achieve a minimum of three and a half stars and we can readily build to five stars or more.
• Establishing your home on steel stumps keeps it out of the way of termites and water, and allows natural breezes underneath to cool and ventilate.
• The strength of an Ark Homes home is unquestionable. 100% of our homes in the Innisfail area withstood Cyclone Larry in 2006 with no structural damage.
