Ark Homes are manufactured in the Ark Home Building Centre, a state-of-the-art facility which enables the unhindered construction of homes and commercial buildings in optimum conditions, protected from the elements.

Production begins with manufacture of the floor chassis, wall frames and roof trusses by three specialist teams.  The components are then combined to form the core of the home. 

Under the watchful eye of our Quality Assurance team, the core progresses along the Home Building Centre assembly line where the external wall cladding is installed and painted; internal wall sheeting is fixed, plastered and painted; plumbing and electrical fixtures are fitted; the wet areas tiled and the roofing is completed.  In all, the home visits a total of 14 work stations, each manned by a team of specialist welders, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, tilers, plasterers or painters. 

As the home nears the end of the assembly line, the electrical and plumbing testing is completed along with the final manufacturing interior and exterior quality checks.

The home is then divided into component modules by our expert "splitting" team and walls are braced and wrapped in heavy-duty plastic sheeting ready for travel.  Each module is then transported by custom designed prime mover and trailer to your site.
